HEY!!! I recently joined e-Scension and trying to meet more members. I guess I have a question for the members of the directing group...

What strategies can you suggest for me to use my short film in order to get noticed as a director? (Is that even a proper sentence? (Don't answer that...)) I am nearly finished with a short comedy and I want to use it as a calling card for my writing and directing. Of course, I'll be sending it to film festivals, but since most Big Time Studio People don't go to film festivals to see short films (even when you invite them), I'm wondering what the best way to get my DVD into their DVD players would be?
