In your Hitwoman story, does she work for the corporation or does she work for a "private security firm" ala Blackwater, that protects the corporation?
Companies like Blackwater are a screenwriters dream, government subsidized mercenary firms that don’t fall under the rules of International/domestic law. I'm surprised there haven’t been a dozen movies about it yet.
Technically, I'm still a student. Semester in L.A. is wrapping up and I'm selling out big time. However, I'll probably be coming back to Chicago in March. Unless I score one of a couple of jobs I'm looking into out here. I plan to come back to L.A. before 2008 is over though.
Being in L.A. has completely erased what it means to be an independent filmmaker from my head. How seductive it is. I'm sure the fog will part the moment my plane lands back home though. Then it's a wild ride of writing, submitting, pre-productions, and productions.
